Criticism

Personal finance writer Zac Bissonnette has characterized the recommendation of Richard Lustig as "dangerous", further noting the likelihood of winning the lottery prize is low and Lustig's suggestion to play the sequential number is statistically lower than choosing random numbers for each image. Financial journalist Felix Salmon writes that given Lustig's habit of using his many wins to buy more lottery tickets, it is unclear whether he saved more prize money than he spent on a lottery ticket: "[Lustig] never really got out and said he is a net winner.
