Critical reception
Believe Acoustic received mixed public reviews from music critics. Robert Copsey of Digital Spy writes that the abolition of multi-layered production and "studio hoax" on Believe discloses "a softer and less vocal sound [...] than most would be familiar with". He noted that the "shameful lyric" is a recurring problem throughout the album, even though it's "largely stored" by Kanter, which "ensures the melody latch remains intact". He noted that it was "less trouble" on the new three-song album. He concluded that: "We prefer the tune, more glitter and glosssier Justin Bieber every day". Andrew Leahy of The Washington Times quotes Believe Acoustic as a way of "extorting extra money from material that has been released". He wrote that few of the new settings "shine the new light" on the original version.
Andy Kellman from Allmusic writes that such as My Worlds Acoustic (2010), Believe Acoustic keeps Bieber's product stream following the right studio album. " He notes that the "game side" of Believe is not very suitable for low rendering: "National anthems like 'Beauty and a Beat' and lines like 'Chillin' by fire when we eat 'fondue , 'from' Boyfriend, 'looks ridiculous when performed with singers in serious artist fashion. "Jody Rosen from Rolling Stone wrote that as a" cash-grab "remix album, Believe Acoustic offer "a little bit of added value, for hardcore fans, at least." According to Rosen, acoustic versions of pop-dance songs "blustery" like "All Around the World" and "Beauty and a Beat" sound "a tad wan", with "six-strings standing in for synths and bludgeoning rhythms." He does, however, state that Bieber "gives his best songs, and his hoarse and well-mannered voice that stands out well against the backdrop of loud music". Rosen cites the best songs on the album into three new studio songs.
On February 9, 2013, Bieber gave his debut show "Nothing Like Us", a bonus song on Believe Acoustic on Saturday Night Live . She serves both as host and music guest and also performs an acoustic set of "As Long as You Love Me".
