Biography
Charlies Capps was born on January 4, 1934 to Emmet and Minnie Capps in Burmmitt, Arkansas. His parents have fields and become farmers. Immediately after graduating high school, he began farming in the Lonoke County area to grow cotton, soybeans, and rice. At the age of 17 he learned to fly and became a member of the "flying farmer". In 1951, he married Peggy Capps. He retired from agriculture in 1978 to pursue full-time service.
The essence of Capps teaching is the idea that our words have power and that we must change what we say and what we think. It was a struggle to get out of the negative life stream, but soon Capps saw the fruit of his words and his life began to change.
Invited to share his story at the Fellowship International Fellowship Business Summit, his modest style of teaching the practical truth of the Bible appeals to people of every Christian denomination. The plea to speak the lecture becomes so great after the printing of his pamphlet "The Creative Power of God Will Work For You", which he retired from agriculture in 1978 and became a full-time Bible teacher, finally wrote 24 books, including the Creative Power of God , with nearly 6 million copies sold. Many books are published in different languages.
Capps later launched a radio broadcast and TV "Concepts of Faith". With his down to earth style, Capps teach that our words are like seeds and we plant them into the bottom of our hearts by saying them aloud. If you want soy to grow, do not plant Johnson seeds! You reap what you sow.
Capps often speak at seminars and conventions. The general theme proposed by Capps are issues relating to daily life of the Bible and faith and the acknowledgment of the Word. She also appeared on the Believers Voice of Victory television program, hosted by Kenneth Copeland Ministries of Fort Worth, Texas.
Capps died at his home on February 23, 2014, congratulated by his wife and two daughters.

Capps use anecdotes, but tend to concentrate on the systematic exposition of biblical teachings. His books tend to focus on the essence of the Word of Faith by emphasizing the caution of what we say, because words have power (Mark 11: 22-25).
