Escape (styled as E5C4P3 on album cover) is the seventh studio album by American rock band Journey, released on 1981. It topped the American Billboard 200 chart and featured four Hot Billboards hit - 100 "Do not Stop Believin '" (# 9), "Who's Crying Now" (# 4), "Still They Ride" (# 19) and "Open Arms" (# 2) Ã, - plus the rock radio staple "Stone in Love." Backgrounds and writing

Escape was the band's first album with keyboardist Jonathan Cain who replaced keyboardist founder Gregg Rolie after he left the band in late 1980. The album was produced jointly by former voice technician Lynyrd Skynyrd Kevin Elson and one-time engineer Mike Stone , which also engineered the album.

Reception and inheritance
