Reception
Critical reception is mostly positive. The Hartford Courant gave an overly positive review, but said that "As much as Doyle's movie is, he avoids financial problems, betrays the lack of independence from the Red Sox management, whose partnership is so important and that might be cut last." repeat of the Boston Globe is also very positive, but noted that the film includes so much material that Doyle "never deep enough into the season or individual games, such as Fenway's overhead image of accelerated park guard who emphasized the film, "Believe" always rushes to the next moment.
