Agnosticism , agnostotheism or agnostitheism is a philosophical view that includes both theism and agnosticism. An agnostic believes in the existence of a god or deity, but considers the basis of this proposition as unknown or inherently unknown . The agnostic theist may also be an agnostic alternative to the deities or deities they believe in.

There are many beliefs that can be included in agnostic theism, such as fideism, the doctrine that knowledge depends on faith or revelation; not all agnostic experts are fideis. Since agnosticism is in a philosophical and not a religious sense, a position on knowledge and does not forbid belief in gods, it fits most theistic positions.
The classical philosophical understanding of knowledge is that knowledge justified true belief. The founder of logotherapy, Viktor Frankl, may have exemplified this definition. Seidner extends this example and emphasizes Frankl's characterization of unconsciousness . Agnostic theism can be interpreted as an admission that it is not possible to justify one's belief in the gods adequately in order to be perceived. This may be because they regard faith as a requirement of their religion, or because the influence of scientific or philosophical criticism seems plausible.
The Christian agnostic practices a different form of agnosticism that applies only to God's property . They argue that it is difficult or impossible to ascertain anything outside the basic tenets of the Christian faith. They believe that God exists, that Jesus has a special relationship with him and in some ways is divine, and that God should be worshiped. This belief system has deep roots in Judaism and the early days of the Church.
