Dylan Rieder (May 26, 1988 - October 12, 2016) is an American skateboarder, artist and model professional.

Skateboarding career
Rieder started skating at age 9. He changed Pro at the age of 18 with his breakout part in the Transworld Skateboarding 2006 A Time To Shine video. She is recognized as the S Mag's Am Skateboard of the year in 2006. In 2014 she is featured in Supreme 2014's "Cherry" video, where she won the Transworld Skateboarding award for Best Part in 2015. Before Dylan became a Pro she was featured in the Quicksilver Promo Video in 2005. In 2009, Dylan had a video section in the Alien Workshop "Mind Field" and the following year the video section for Gravis was released (2010). Rolling Stone praised these two videos along with the video portions of "Cherry" and "A Time to Shine" as the decisive moments of his career.
During his professional career, he partnered with several brands such as Alien Workshop, Birdhouse, Gravis Footwear, Huf, Osiris, Supreme, Quiksilver, and F ** king Awesome.
Modeling, mode and retail
Rieder is featured in the 2014 Spring Campaign of DKNY along with supermodel Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn. In 2014, Rieder appeared in a photograph scattered in fashion designer Alexander Wang at Vogue . Inside the memory to Rieder in GQ, the magazine called him "Skateboarders who change fashion forever".
Together with fellow skateboarders Jake Lamagno and Steven Ditchkus, Rieder has a shop in the East Village neighborhood of New York City called "the Hunt" which specializes in "furniture and various peculiarities from the dark side of Americana". The emporium has since moved into space on Canal Street, further south in downtown Manhattan.
Disease and death
Rieder was first diagnosed with leukemia in July 2014. In March 2015, he received a bone marrow transplant from his sister, and announced a month later that he was in remission. However, the cancer returned in November of that year and he received a second bone marrow transplant, again from his sister. He then returned in pardon. But cancer comes back once more. Mark Oblow said in an interview for The Mag Skateboard, "he did not die of cancer, he beat cancer twice, you know he went to fucking remissions twice, it was because of a fucking lung infection, his spine was so badly damaged and because problems caused by chemotherapy in his eyes and because of damage to his liver and lungs and all these things "
Rieder died on October 12, 2016, due to complications from leukemia. He is surrounded by over 50 family members and friends. Rolling Stone recorded his death with features that focused on the five best videos of Rieder's skateboard career.
Many celebrities, including Tony Hawk, Cara Delevingne, Sharon Osbourne, Langley Fox, Cat Power and Camille Rowe, remember Dylan as an inspiration inside and outside the board, a gentle man and a great friend. About his death, model and actress Delevingne posted in social media the following, "You will be sorely missed by so many people.Rose and Rest In Peace, Dylan Rieder." Ozzy Osbourne states, "Dylan Rieder. One of the most talented and brave men... I feel blessed to know you. Rest in peace Dylan. My love and condolences to his family ".
The Mag Skateboard saluted Rieder, stating: "It's hard to believe even typing this - we lost one of the best to ever step on a skateboard today.Dylan Rieder, whose flawless style, explosive power, and epic video parts affect the whole generation and beyond , died today because of complications with Leukemia.Relse in peace, Dylan Our thoughts and prayers go to friends and family in this difficult time. "
On October 30, Rieder's anniversary was held at Hollywood's Forever Cemetery. Hundreds of her friends and family attended as well as the music awards offered by Austyn Gillette, Cat Power and Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes.
On November 13th, Rieder's friends and family gathered at Sandy's Oahu, Hawaii, where some of his ashes were dispersed into the ocean.
In the episode of Jason Dill Epicly Later'd in 2017, Dill says Dylan's mother also gave him and William Strobeck some of Dylan's ashes. Abu Dylan is shown next to the picture of Dill and Dylan hugging each other.
