Parrs Wood High School is a comprehensive state high school in East Didsbury, Manchester, England, behind Parrs Wood Entertainment Complex at Wilmslow Road. It educates them from the age of 11 to 18 years; A-Level is taught at the Parrs Wood Sixth Form Center, which is integrated with the mainstream school. Parrs Wood is the 4th largest school in the UK in 2008, with 2,030 students and 450 in the center of the sixth form.
In 2015, governor Parrs Wood decided to start the process of turning school into an academy, despite opposition from local staff and politicians.
After the bombing of Manchester Arena 2017, the school choir recorded the title song from Ariana Grande My Everything to benefit the victims. Koor then performs a song at the One Love Manchester concert along with Ariana Grande to further respect and help the victims.

The Parrs Wood Sixth Form Center is part of the school campus. Opened in 2000 after major school rebuilding. The center is located in an independent class 2 building listed from the main school.
Ofsted
In 2007, the Ofsted examination showed school deficiencies in some areas, particularly in the SAT KS3 results, and criticized school management for failing to act to improve the situation. The report reflects that this situation is unacceptable and schools are placed in special action. In February 2010, OFSTED found the school satisfactory and no special action required.
In a recent examination, the school was rated as Class 2 - Good.
Controversy
In May 2007, CS gas cylinders were disposed of in the Parrs Wood science area, resulting in 58 students and staff being taken to the hospital. The incident was described by Greater Manchester Police as a "silly joke".
In 2012, Judge Peeling QC, found against the school governing body in the Judicial Review on the decision to suspend one of the governors.
The school is directly opposite the branch of Grosvenor G Casinos at the Parrs Wood entertainment center complex. The members of the Manchester City Council's planning committee initially rejected plans to build the casino after the citizens of Didsbury objected because of possible negative effects on students' livelihoods at school: students had to walk through the casino every day to attend. Despite the original rejection, Grosvenor G Casinos was granted planning permission in March 2011. The Parrs Wood branch has been opened in June 2012.
