Celtic Woman is an all-female Irish ensemble created and created by David Kavanagh, Sharon Browne and David Downes, former Irish stage stage musical director Riverdance.   • MÃÆ'¡irÃÆ' Â © ad Carlin (December 5, 1988) is an Irish singer and member of the Celtic Woman ensemble. Carlin was born in Derry, Northern Ireland. He started his career at the age of 15 when he won the title role of 'The Rose' in the Talents' Young Singers competition at The Little Prince (opera) by Rachel Portman. MÃÆ'¡Ã © Ã © Ã © has since appeared for the Irish President, celebrating the Irish National Anthem for Rugby International English-Irish to millions of TV viewers and more recently, he has shared the stage with Snow Patrol and The Priests in 2013 BBC TV Gala Concert 'Sons and Daughters' to mark Derry's year as a City of Culture. He also recorded the City Culture song 'Let the River Run' with star Glee Damian McGinty. Carlin later released a single under his own label, Iris Records/Walled City Records. After completing his title, MÃÆ'¡irÃÆ' Â © ad was signed to Decca Records and recorded his debut album, 'Songbook' with the London Philharmonic Orchestra at Air Studios and British Grove Studios. On 5 August 2013, the Celtic Woman website reported that ChloÃÆ'ÂÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Agnew would take a leave of absence from Celtic Woman to work on a solo project, and on August 23, 2013, she reported that MÃÆ'¡irÃÆ'Â ad Carlin would take a ChloÃÆ'Â «place.
  • Susan McFadden (February 8, 1983) is a Dublin-born, Irish-born actress and singer. She has also been a member of the Celtic music group, Celtic Woman, since 2012. She is the younger brother of former Westlife member Brian McFadden. In 2008, McFadden recorded two songs for the CD One of Songs From The Musicals Of Alexander S. Bermange, an album of 20 new recordings by 26 West End stars, released in November 2008 at Dress Circle Recording. He played the lead role of Milly in the stage adaptation of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, with Steven Houghton. McFadden starred in the original Musical Legend Blonde at the Savoy Theater in West End London playing Elle Woods after starting the role of Serena. The official reviews and audience reactions are very positive. On January 5, 2012, McFadden was named as Lisa Kelly's successor, then went on maternity leave, in the All-female Ensemble Celtic woman. McFadden made his debut with Celtic Woman in February in Nashville, Tennessee to start the "Believe" North American Tour and continued with the European, Australian and South African Tour in 2012. After Lisa Kelly announced her departure from the group in January 2013, McFadden has since become full-time member of the Celtic Woman.
  • ÃÆ'â € ° abha McMahon (December 9, 1990) In 2007, he became the youngest member of the AnÃÆ'ºna group at the age of 16. He debuted with Celtic Woman on Celtic Woman's special album and DVD/TV: Destiny in 2015 and has a solo album in 2018.
  • Tara McNeill (July 27) is the newest member of Celtic Woman. He has performed with AnÃÆ'ºna from 2012 to 2016. Celtic Woman was recorded on September 15, 2004 for PBS television at The Helix, Dublin, Ireland, in front of a sold-out audience. Organized by producer Sharon Browne, Chairman & amp; CEO Dave Kavanagh, producer and television director Avril MacRory, and music director and composer David Downes, the show was first broadcast on PBS during March 2005 in the United States, and within weeks the group's eponymous debut album, Celtic Woman > i>, reached No. 1 on Billboard's World Music chart, finally breaking Andrea Bocelli's old record of chart-topping longevity on July 22, 2006 by staying at No. 1. 1 for 68 weeks. The release of their second album, Celtic Woman: A Christmas Celebration , on October 19, 2006 tapped their first album to No. 2. 2 on the World Music chart.

In preparation for their third studio album, Celtic Woman performed at Slane Castle in County Meath, Ireland, on 23 and 24 August 2006, with the show premiered on PBS during December 2006. The studio album, titled Celtic Woman: A New Journey , was released on January 30, 2007. Like their debut, live performance was released on DVD simultaneously. The album soon hit Billboard 200 in No. 4 and the Billboard World Music chart at No. 1, move the previous two releases down and secure the top three positions on the chart for the group.

Responding to the popularity of the show at Slane Castle in 2006, PBS aired a special concert Celtic Woman performing again at The Helix Theater, Dublin, Ireland on December 7, 2007. The show included songs from the group's second album, Celtic Woman: A Christmas Celebration .

The fourth album, Celtic Woman: The Greatest Journey , was released on October 28, 2008. The group's fifth album, , was released January 26, 2010 It peaked at No.. 48 in July 2010 on the Top 50 ARIA Album chart.

The group recently released their sixth album, Lullaby , available through PBS appointments or QVC shopping sites. On February 15, 2011, it was released by other major retailers as a limited edition album. Reached No. 1 on World Charts and No. 3 on Kids Charts, the first for Celtic Woman.

The group filmed new specials on September 6 and 7, 2011 at Fox Theater in Atlanta for PBS broadcast and DVD releases. It's titled Celtic Woman: Believe . The show aired on the PBS station on December 3, 2011. CD/DVD was released on January 24, 2012.

On October 9, 2012, the group released their second Christmas album worldwide Home for Christmas . The album featured the voices of Lisa Lambe, ChloÃÆ'ÂÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Agnew, Meav Ni Mhaolchatha, and Mairead Nesbitt on the violin. Another Christmas album, Celtic Woman: Silent Night was released the same day for the United States exclusively.

In July 2013, Celtic Woman released a promotional video on its YouTube channel for a new special PBS, which will air in early 2014. In August 2016, the group recorded an album entitled Celtic Woman: Voices of Angels. The album is the first to feature Tara McNeill and is also the first album featuring no founding members, although Meav Ni Mhaolchatha is a vocal director and once again featured as a guest.

Celtic Woman recorded a live album, Celtic Woman: Homecoming - Live from Ireland, at 3Arena in Dublin on September 2, 2017. The album was released in January 2018. This is the first album released by a group consisting entirely of live songs.

Tour

Celtic Woman has made three tours in America, with additional performances abroad. The group performed in more than a dozen cities in the US in 2005 for their original album debut. The group toured the United States twice with their "Celtic Woman: A New Journey" tour, visited 88 cities in 2007 and over 75 cities in 2008. In early April 2008 it was announced that The High Kings would open the event for the group the. until June 2008.

The 2009 Isle of Hope Tour was announced in late 2008, and featured a mix of original music from composers David Downes and Brendan Graham (favorite group author of "You Raise Me Up"), renditions of songs such as "Fields of Gold "and" Have I Told You Lived That I Love You "and traditional performances" Danny Boy "," The Sky and the Dawn and the Sun "and" The Spanish Lady ". On October 6, 2017, Celtic Woman officially announced their 2018 tour, Homecoming World Tour . The North American Leg of the Homecoming tour will run from 1 March 2018 - 17 June 2018.

Membership

The original players in Celtic Woman are ChloÃÆ' Â «Agnew, ÃÆ'â € Å" rla Fallon, Lisa Kelly, MÃÆ' Â © av NÃÆ' Mhaolchatha, and MÃÆ'¡irÃÆ' Â © ad Nesbitt. During pregnancy MÃÆ'Ã… © av in 2005, Deirdre Shannon was chosen to fill his place during the tour. Awards and honor

In 2007, Celtic Woman won the EBBA Award. Each year, the European Border Breakers Awards (EBBA) recognize the success of ten artists or groups of new arrivals who reached audiences outside of their own country with their first album released internationally last year. Celtic Woman: Destiny received a nomination for the 59th Grammy Awards (2017) in the category of "Best World Music Album".
