An additional $ 3.5 million is generated from advertising revenue, which is donated to other charities. The day before the special agent, fellow free agents Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade also announced that they would sign a contract with Miami; reports later appeared that the trio had discussed their next 2010 free agent among themselves in 2006. James decided to join Bosh and Wade in part so he could bear less of an offensive burden; he thought that his upgraded teammate would give him a better chance of winning the NBA championship than if he lived in Cleveland. President Heat Pat Riley played a major role in selling James on the idea of ââplaying with Bosh and Wade. James will be relieved of the goal-scoring load, and he thinks he can be the first player since Oscar Robertson for an average triple-double in a single season.
When James left the Cavaliers, he drew sharp criticism from sports analysts, executives, fans, and former players. The Decision itself is also researched and deemed unnecessary. Many think that the long wait for James's choice is unprofessional because even the team that follows it is aware of his decision until some time before the show. After learning that James would not return to Cleveland, Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert published an open letter to fans in which he aggressively denounced James's actions. Some angry fans from the team recorded their own videos burning their uniforms. Former NBA players, including Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson, are also critical of James, cursing him for joining Bosh and Wade in Miami and not trying to win the championship as "that person". James drew further criticism in a September interview with CNN when he claimed that the race may have been a factor in the fallout from The Decision. The phrase "taking my talent to South Beach" was a blow to the critics.
Soon after the Decision , James claimed that nothing he would change about his free agency handling despite all the criticisms. During the 2010-11 season, he expressed some regret, admitting, "[I] might do it a little differently... But I'm happy with my decision." Before the 2011-12 season, he relented, "... if the shoe is on the other foot and I am a fan, and I am very passionate about one player, and he decides to leave, I will also be annoyed with the way he handles it. At the 2006 FIBA ââWorld Championships in Japan, James took on a bigger role for the USA Team, averaging 13.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game as a captain compatriot. The team finished the tournament with an 8-1 record, winning another bronze medal. James's behavior was once again questioned, this time by teammate Bruce Bowen, who confronted James during an examination of his treatment of staff members.
Before naming James to the 2008 Olympic team, USA Team managing director Jerry Colangelo and coach Mike Krzyzewski gave James an ultimatum to improve his attitude, and he paid attention to their advice. In FIBA ââAmericas Championship 2007, he averaged 18.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game, including a 31-point performance against Argentina in the championship game, the most ever by a American in Olympic qualifying. The USA team won 10-0, winning a gold medal and qualifying for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China. James praised the team's attitude and experience for their improvement, saying: "I do not think we understand what it means to wear a USA uniform and everyone we represent in 2004. We definitely know that now." At the Olympics, the USA Team is unbeaten, winning their first gold medal since 2000. In the last game, James produced 14 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists against Spain.
James did not play in the FIBA ââWorld Championship 2010 but rejoined Team USA for the 2012 Olympics in London, England. He became team leader with Kobe Bryant, who will soon turn 34, retreat. James facilitates breaches of posts and perimeters, called defensive sets, and provides an assessment when needed. During the game against Australia, he recorded the first triple-double in the history of the US Olympic basketball with 11 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists. The USA team went on to win their second straight gold medal, once again beating Spain in the final game. James contributed 19 points in the win, becoming an all-time scorer in US men's basketball history. He also joined Michael Jordan as the only player to win the NBA MVP award, the NBA championship, the NBA Finals MVP, and the Olympic gold medal in the same year. After that, Krzyzewski said James "is the best player, he is the best leader and he is as smart as anyone who plays the game at the moment."

Many basketball analysts, coaches, fans, and current and former players consider James to be one of the greatest players of all time, often placing him as the best forward and in the top five overall. Since 2011, he has been ranked the best player in the NBA by ESPN and Sports Illustrated . He has received the All-NBA award every season since the second year, the All-Defensive respects every season from 2009 to 2014, and is named Rookie of the Year in his debut season. With four MVP awards, he is part of an award-winning group of four players, including Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain, and Bill Russell; James and Russell are the only two players who have won four MVP awards in a span of five years. James never won the Defensive Player of the Year Award, but he has twice completed both in voting and award lists as one of his main goals. James has appeared in the Final eight times and won three championships. Some analysts have criticized him for not having a better Finals record, while others defend him, arguing that James usually performs well, but his team is defeated by superior competition.
Breach
James entered the NBA as a 19-year-old rookie and made an immediate offensive impact when he led the Cavaliers to score. He holds many of the "youngest" differences, including being the youngest player to score 28,000 career points. During his first assignment in Cleveland, he was primarily used as an on-ball point ahead. The trend of shooting is oriented on the perimeter, and he proves himself to be one of the best cutting and player players in basketball; He led the NBA in three points in 2006. The combination of speed, speed, and size often created battle problems for the opposing team as he was able to blow by the bigger defenders and beat smaller ones. These qualities become more apparent in the transition period, in which he develops a reputation for achieving a defensive rebound and then defeats underground defenses for high quality baskets. Around this time, James is often criticized for not developing a reliable jump or post-game shoot. The team will try to exploit this weakness by giving it space in half the field and forcing it to complete three shots and two long shots, a well-known strategy used by Spurs coach Greg Popovich in the 2007 Final, where James converted only on 36 percent of his field targets in four competition.
In Miami, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra changed James's role to being unconventional. James began spending more time in the post and fired a few three-pointer shots, attempting a career low of 149 in 2012. He improved his choice and accuracy of his shot in leaping jumps, finishing second in the league in a goal field percentage and shooting in 2013. He also learning how to work as an off-ball cutter in "pass-happy" Heat violations. Behind this improvement, James's overall assessment efficiency goes up to extraordinary historical levels, culminating in 2014 when he recorded the correct 64.9 photo shoot. During this period, ESPN Tom Haberstroh called James's free-throw shot his biggest weakness, describing it as "average". After returning to the Cavaliers, James began to experience a very small age-related decline in productivity, posting the lowest average score since the rookie season in 2015 and 2016. His shooting also temporarily retreated, and he briefly ranks as the worst high-volume out shooter from outside paint in the NBA. Despite this change, he remains an elite offensive player capable of defeating defenses with varying body controls, powers, and attack speeds.
James's playmaking ability is generally regarded as one of his key skills, with some analysts ranking him among the greatest hikers in NBA history. He is the only frontcourt player in the history of the league to sign up for more than 7,000 career assists. Using the size, vision, and attention he collects from the opponent's defense for his benefit, James is able to create easy points for his peers with accurate help, making the league lead 2.6 three points per game by way of his own passing in 2013 He will often performing operands that are usually considered unusual, including the operand after leaving his legs and passing defensive traffic. The tremendous tendency to find open men plays an important role in the evolution of the modern NBA defense, which forces the team to incorporate some zone elements into their schemes to better cover the weaker sides of the court and prevent James from passing to the open shooter.
Early in his career, he was criticized by the media for his passing money under pressure; in particular, to continue instead of shooting in the final seconds of close matches. In a 2011 interview, teammate Chris Bosh stated that he would rather have Dwyane Wade and not James take a last second shot. Then in James's career, his clutch game is better viewed; for example, by 2015, FiveThirtyEight writes that he may be the "most clutch playoff shot in his generation".
Defense
Early in his NBA career James, he was considered a bad defender, but he has steadily improved over the years. Toward the end of his first tenure in Cleveland, he became adept in the block of hunting, which involved coming from behind the opposition in transition to block their shots. In Miami, he developed into a more flexible defender, and the Heat relied on him to keep five positions. James was paired with teammates Shane Battier and Dwyane Wade, and Miami used him in an ultra-aggressive defensive scheme, with James cheating the ball to help out or get into a rebounding position. Beginning in 2014, some analysts noted the regression in its defensive impact, stemming from a lack of effort and an age-related decline. James himself admitted taking the drama at times, referring to this approach as "cold mode". Writing for ESPN in 2016, Nate Duncan observes that while James tends to release more drama than in his youth, he was able to raise his level in the final of the year and temporarily reclaim his performance in Miami.
