Kostino (Russian: ???????? ) is a village in Orekhovo-Zuyevsky District of the Moscow Oblast, Russia, located 75 kilometer (47 mi) southeast of Moscow near the Likhocha River.
In general, this village is part of Davydovsky Rural Settlement (administrative center which is the village of Davydovo). Population: 185 (1997 est.). Postal code: 142642.

History
The village is located in the historical area of ââZakhod (part of Guslitsa). In the 19th century, it was part of Zaponorskaya Volost from Bogorodsky Uyezd from Moscow Governorate. The majority of the population of Kostino are the Old Man, who since the late nineteenth century was guided by the Ancient Russian Orthodox Church.
In 1862, there was an Old Belever chapel in the village.
Before the Revolution, guslyaki (resident of Guslitsa) was known for their criminal tendencies and the tendency to steal horses. A large number of horse thieves come from Yelizarovo and Kostino. The stolen horses are usually sold near Yegoryevsk, which at the time was part of the Ryazan Governorate and thus was not in the jurisdiction of the Moscow Governorate police.

Population
In 1825, the village consisted of 84 houses consisting of 843 residents (408 men and 435 women). In 1862, the population slightly increased to 89 homes consisting of 965 people (482 men and 483 women). In 1925, the population grew to 125 households consisting of 618 residents. On January 1, 1997, the population was 185.
