" Thinking " is a poem written by Walter D. Wintle, a poet living in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Little is known about the details of his life. "Thinking" is also known as "The Man Who Thinks He Can".
In the 20th century, different versions of poetry were published. Until now, it is not known which version accurately represents the original version, but it is strongly believed that the version below, published since at least 1905 ("Unity" College Magazine), embodies original and unchanged poetry. The exact date of the first original publication "Thinking" is unknown.

If you think you are beaten, you are: If you think you do not dare, you do not.
If you want to win, but you think you can not,
This is almost certain - you will not do it.
If you think you will lose, you have lost;
To get out in this world, we found the
Success begins with the will of a friend Everything is in a state of mind.
If you think you are losing, you are: You must think high to rise You must be sure to yourself before
You can win a prize.
The battle of life does not always work For stronger or faster men; But sooner or later the man who wins Is the one who thinks he can!
